Villa Gresti Tenuta San Leonardo 2009

The Villa Gresti by Tenuta San Leonardo is a great wine from Trentino that combines the charisma and strength of Merlot with the power of Carmenere. A refined assembly that comes from the oldest vines, rich of history, of Tenuta San Leonardo. It's a perfect combination of tradition and history, dynamism stubborn and modern. We are in Borghetto Avio, in the locality of San Leonardo and the vineyards are situated 150 meters above sea level, on a soil rich in sand, low fertility and well drained, on vines that are between 10 and 20 years of age. The Villa Gresti comes from a selection of the best grapes of Merlot and Carmenere and matures in new barriques for 12-14 months, before stabilizing in the bottle for another 12 months. The result is a wine caressing, velvety, balanced and that arises immediately as a true protagonist in the glass. It has a lovely character, a beautiful personality, has a final decision, engaging, with great structure. It has all the imprint of Tenuta San Leonardo: persistent notes of tobacco and vanilla, with a finish reminiscent of cocoa and coffee. The balance is perfect, the elegance is endless.
