The Schiava Superiore "Pfarrhof" by Cantina di Caldaro has an extraordinary quality/price ratio. It comes from an outstanding example of cooperative winery, Caldaro, which today boasts nearly 450 members who cultivate screw around 300 hectares of vineyards. We are on the slopes and the rolling hills surrounding Lake Kalter, in the heart of Alto Adige, in a terroir characterized by a very windy climate, with large temperature differences between day and night. The Schiava Superiore "Pfarrhof", in particular, comes from a selection of vineyards fully exposed to the South, on vines that are at least 30 years old and on soils rich in clay and limestone.
