The production is personally dall'ottantenne Tequilero Mastro Don Julio who chooses only the best blue agave plants, with more than 20% sugar and grown for at least 10-12 years in the hills of Jalisco Mexican. Don Julio Reposado is produced with double distillation as for the line Anejo but is characterized by a much more prolonged aging and characterizing the final result. Aged for at least eight months in American white oak barrels, bringing with it a golden yellow, with the intensity and softness typical of tequila resting in wooden barrels. The nose perceives easily an inviting scent of sweet citrus notes of lemon and spice with hints of ripe fruit. Elegant and smooth, is enriched with notes of dark chocolate, vanilla and cinnamon. The taste is warm and there is an essence of dried fruit, nuts and a hint of caramel.
