In 1934, Giovanni's son Giuseppe expanded production, contributing to the creation of the Consortium for the protection of Barolo, Alba, Langhe and Dogliani, and subsequently purchased Vigna Ronda, considered a gamble but also a far-sighted gesture. Today, the lively and solid cohabitation between the third and fourth generations brings the business to be \u003cstrong\u003eamong the most prestigious\u003c\/strong\u003e in the Langhe wine scene, producing wines with a unique personality.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eMassolino's Barolo \"Parafada\" vineyards are located in the \"Parafada\" vineyard at about 320 metres above sea level; the soil is of medium texture with a high concentration of limestone for elegant and structured end products. \u003cstrong\u003eThe climate is continental\u003c\/strong\u003e with hot and often humid summers and cold winters, characterised by snow and frost. Harvesting is carried out manually with selection of the best bunches; fermentation and maceration in oak vats for 15-20 days takes place in the cellar. It matures 30 months in Slavonian oak casks and stays in the bottle for about a year in cool, dark rooms.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eTo the eye, Massolino's Barolo \"Parafada\" is an intense garnet red colour.
